Becoming 4F! (free from fossil fuels)
At the Gibbon Experience, we sometimes fly like you and we don’t like this carbon footprint feeling. However, on a daily basis, we thrive to shrink our carbon dioxide emissions. And yours!
Our latest moves are the following:
Solar systems in the forest
We installed solar panels in our tree houses since project inception in order to have a bit of light at night, then charge mobile phones. Now, our new solar systems take us a step further: food is cooked electrically, water pumped without generators and boiled without gas stoves. As a consequence, we leave firewood to the wood-boring insects and we stop dealing with engine oils changes. Heavy gas cylinders are just fading away memories… Small revenge on the oil industry, yek, yek.
Transportation to and from the forest
Since the road inside Nam Kan National Park can be challenging, we are bound to use 4×4 trucks. The good news come from our big Chinese neighbor: you are now testing with us 4×4 electric pickups. How will they perform in a heavy duty use is still unsure. We are however excited, day after day on our road to stop buying diesel… Soon we hope to say F…FF 😉
